New Season

Thankfully this morning's weather co-operated allowing the first practice session of the year to be completed in dry, windy and even sunny conditions. Competition is fierce for team selection and this was the first opportunity to impress. The team will be announced at the start of next week with the first game away to Heathfield St Mary's in Ascot. Bizarrely this school has the same name as Hannah's as well as a famous father who supports his daughter at Lacrosse matches, Simon LeBon of Duran Duran.

All very serious but there is always time to smile for the Paparazzi!!! There may be more present for next week's game if Simon attends?

Afternoon in Town

As regular readers may remember I had a leaking piston within my Montblanc Meisterstuck 149 fountain pen. This was successfully repaired and a new nib fitted, giving me an almost brand new pen, all for £43. The only problem was that the ink flow seemed much reduced, making me lean too heavily to write and still not delivering the silky smooth writing experience I was used to and the main thing that sets Montblanc apart. Hannah and I jumped on the Tube and dropped off the pen at the Montblanc Boutique on New Bond Street and they promised to adjust the ink flow and try and return the pen within four weeks! Thankfully I was contacted after only ten days and we decided to take advantage of the great Saturday weather to take the short Tube ride to Green Park.

After collecting the pen, we walked the short distance to the Abercrombie and Fitch Store where Hannah was determined to spend some of the cash she collected last weekend from unbelievably generous Grand Parents and Great Aunts. This is a strange store, shrouded in almost total darkness, uptempo popular disco tunes constantly blasting out and the entire store is stuffed with customers and almost as many pert wannabee models as staff.

Eventually Hannah found and made her selection and we located the correct queue and eventually emerged, blinking to the sharp sunshine of the West End, thirsty and on the quest for a bar! We found a Pitcher and Piano near Maddox Street that was almost deserted and we settled in for a swift pint. On to the Apple Store for a quick look at all the bits and pieces we already have - so the visit was short.

Below is a snap of Hannah looking cute and hugging her new A & F Butt Loungers!
