Harrow on the Hill sunset

Traveling back from delivering wedding prints to Putney, I crested Harrow on the Hill and was blinded by the soon to set sun. A quick U-turn at the bottom of the hill and I was back to a very handy footbridge that gave this wonderful street light level vantage point. The Canon G9 handled the conditions well but most frames were shot on manual.

What a difference a day makes!

Having prepped and filled the hall walls and after I had collected Hannah from her sleepover, I started into the first "cleanup" coat of white emulsion. The idea of this is to bring the walls back to neutral and give us a starting point. It also shows if the walls need to be papered or simply painted and as far as I can see they look good enough to paint. Painting I can do and enjoy whereas, papering is a skill I have dodged through the years and do not wish to learn for this project. Areas will need a second coat of white but most panels are ready for the final colour - possibly a warm crushed cotton.
