Almost a month away!

Almost a month since the last post and a lot has happened...
No need to dwell on too much detail but what I must say is Sinead's hysterectomy operation happened on (ironically!) St. Patrick's day and went smoothly without complication and she was discharged on the fourth day and continues to heal quickly. Sinead should be back at work at the end of the month - mornings only at first, we will see how things go. Funny how events repeat themselves as 13 years ago, through the day I rode up and down to Queen Charlotte's Hospital to visit Sinead and the newly born Hannah. Again I used the bike through the day to visit Northwick Park Hospital and to save £3 each trip as the parking is difficult and expensive! Parking the bike looked dodgy but as I removed the front wheel and any accessories and secured everything with the D-lock, all stayed safe through the four days - even the weather co-operated, only raining on Sinead's discharge day.

Unbelievably, the day before Sinead's operation, my main work Mac decided to leak and give up the ghost. Despite expert attempts at resucitation, it looks like eBay for the BIGMac! If you have to experience such a drastic failure, I think I have had the lesser of the two possibilities where I didn't loose any data - just the Mac that displays that data . . . Consequently, I have been nursing Sinead, Hannah who is not surprisingly bored through her three week Easter break and two slow and old Macs as I try and keep the business going!

To keep me on my toes, I also hit a busy period with a couple of recces, a family shoot, a Corporate Conference shoot, the Boat Race and a wedding - all to be downloaded to, backed up and processed through consumer and ancient Macs.

As usual, I work through things and eventually things come together and are completed and off to the client. Thank you to a couple of wedding clients who were more than understanding and allowed some later than advertised deliveries - that was much appreciated.

Thank you also to Evelyn, Sinead's younger sister, who lifted and laid Hannah from school and generally helped through the week that Sinead was in Hospital - love ya!

Amazingly after three weeks, things are getting back to normal, Sinead is healing quickly and the business seems to have survived the Mac upheaval and the necessary nursing duties. Onwards and upwards!
