Despite erroneous local and national weather forecasts, we seem to have strung another few days of good weather together. Nothing like the temperatures we had a week ago but strangely, temperatures that are in fact, average for May. I hope to get out on the bike early tomorrow morning - and I mean early! I've had this great theory of getting out before 6am for an hour for the last two years - especially as sunrise tomorrow is 5am. With a wedding this Saturday, it's not a great idea to go out on that morning and as the gig is due to wrap around midnight, the likelihood of me making it out on the Sunday morning is slim! At least we have a Bank Holiday Monday so I will aim for then - weather permitting of course.
I repeated my hilly ride on Sunday and despite a head wind on the way out, I completed the 21 miles in 1 hr 20 mins. This route takes in a number of long climbs with the longest and steepest a mere mile from home punishing me as I have not warmed up for the ride.
I must have felt good after Sunday's ride as I set about the hedges at the front of our property. What a boring job this is . . . Not so much the actual cutting of the hedges but the inevitable clean up - it takes so long! at least we now have the Brown Bin that accepts garden cuttings and this means I no longer have to brave the Sunday queues at the local dump. I managed to fill our just emptied Brown Bin early this evening and this is when I shot the image of backlit Lavender with the Canon G9 on Programme. Absolutely bang on exposure and just a few tweaks in Lightroom.
